Selling a 2015 Cervelo R3, size 61 cm. The Cervelo R3 absolutely flies, and it's known for being an incredibly tough frame. Cervelo's tube design brings excellent power transfer, that's super strong, and still lightweight where it tapers to thinner seat stays to avoid road vibrations and chatter. Features a Shimano Ultegra 22 speed drivetrain for smooth, consistent shifting and braking in a lightweight package. Rolls on a hugely upgraded deep dish HED carbon wheelset. These wheels are incredibly nice. they're super deep, super aero, and still lightweight. They'll help you reach faster speeds with better aerodynamics and help keep you at speed. Our Story A Humble Beginning [2012]
Like so many of our customers, Top Tier began with a little sticker shock. Our founder Will Herring, was looking for a cheap bicycle to ride to classes and commute on when attending the University of Florida. Walking into a few bike shops caused some serious sticker shock. There just weren?t any quality bikes out there without spending top dollar on retail. Getting a cheap used bike off of Craigslist that could be fixed up soon became the best option. And so began the journey of learning how to find good bikes, work on them, add value, and be able to pass on a higher quality, used ride at a better value than buying new. [2016]
Within 4 years, we had reached a point of about a hundred bikes a year. We became one of the bigger bike sellers in Gainesville and began our outward reach. We started buying from surrounding cities within a few hours and selling to them as well. Our skills in finding and working on higher-end bikes were growing. Enter our first carbon rides with quality components. [2017]
With so many growth stories, there is so commonly a setback. Enter, Top Tier?s move to Ashburn, Virginia, just outside of D.C. While Will was still working in commercial construction, an opportunity to build for a huge social media client was too difficult to turn down. Leaving Florida had meant selling out the entire inventory. Will was slow to re-enter the market in D.C. until one of his co-workers needed help finding a nice used road bike. And so it all began again. The D.C. market ended up being another great market, and within months, Top Tier was stocked again! The following years brought on the expansion. We began working with higher and higher-end rides. Full, Hi-Mod carbon, electronic components, the nicest carbon wheels, and disc brakes. And with that, we began reaching out. Buying and shipping across the country. Able to help get West Coast rides on a new ride while we worked from DC. Able to ship back to FL where we had been only a few years ago. [2019]
Enter, another move! Back to Florida this time. And this time, we had grown too big to sell out inventory for the move. Man, that was a lot of bikes we brought down! But it was great to be back on home turf. Familiar with the local markets while still being able to serve the rest of the nation with high-end rides. At this point, we had grown to about 200 bikes a year, and it showed. We needed more space! A 1500 sq ft workshop was a blessing and served us well for the next couple years. [2023]
Where are we today? Able to serve over 300 customers a year, we have grown to quite the team. With several mechanics, a marketing specialist, and a full-time photographer, Top Tier Cycles has become quite the family. Many of our team members come from a non-profit where we have all worked together. Another move has been such a blessing. Two locations, with a third in the works. Storage for hundreds of bikes and a purpose-built space of 3,500 sq ft, ideal for organized and efficient working on high-end roadies. With two locations, one of them purpose-built for us, and all this in the works, it?s exciting to see how many riders we can help find value in Top Tier rides in the upcoming years.
Shipping How do we ship your new bike?
Packing a high-end ride can be a bit of a science. Fortunately, it?s a science we?ve perfected. Our professional in-house packing will probably be the best packing job you?ve ever seen. And we mean that seriously. It?s one of our most common compliments. We just want to ensure that the bike you see in the pictures, is exactly how you receive it. So a great pack starts here in-house, and then ships via UPS, insured, of course. With in-house handling, we usually have bikes out the door by the next day, meaning you can get your new ride in 2-6 days, depending on how far across the country it?s traveling. What will it need when it arrives?
Every single one of our rides is here locally, in our shop, ready to ride. They?ve gone through extensive inspection and service to be ready to ride. Bearings smooth, brakes tight, shifting adjusted, drivetrain lubed, deep cleaned, and carbon inspected are just part of our checklist for each and every ride. So when your new ride gets to you, you can expect to remove the packing materials and install the front wheel, handlebars, and seat post. Keep in mind, a torque wrench is suggested for installing carbon parts. After that, your bike should be ready to ride. And, we always put our direct phone number right on the box so that we can be available for any install questions.
Returns We realize that shopping for a new ride online can have drawbacks, and we?re here to make that process easier. Ultimately, we?re here to get you on the right ride or take it back. Carbon integrity is a common concern, so we back that with our carbon guarantee. Sizing can be another question. So we?re here to offer our professional opinion before the sale and stand behind that with our return policy afterward. Sometimes it can come down to rider preference too, so we can either get you set up on a different ride or take it back. We will accept any returns for 30 days from delivery, for any reason. So if it?s rider preference, fit, feel, mistaken purchase, a gift that wasn?t quite perfect, or anything else, we will take it back. A listing error such as parts or size, or damaged carbon would be on us. We promise to take a completely free return or make it right to another acceptable standard.
